ADHD Care That Actually Figures Out What's Going On
Integrative, whole-person ADHD care for children, teens, and adults in Idaho, where your sleep, your focus, and your daily life get treated too, not just the prescription.
I believe not everything that looks like ADHD is ADHD, and getting the diagnosis right matters more than rushing to a prescription. ADHD symptoms overlap with anxiety, poor sleep, and other things, so I take the time to evaluate properly. If it's ADHD, we treat it well. If something else is actually driving your symptoms, we find that instead. Either way, you leave with real answers.
Does this sound like you?
You put things off until the very last second, even things you genuinely care about
You feel so overwhelmed by everything on your plate that you don't start at all
You start ten things and finish none of them
Nothing stays organized no matter how hard you try
Your mind races at night and won't shut off long enough to sleep
You've been told your whole life to just "try harder" or "focus"
If that's familiar, you're not lazy and you're not failing. That's often exactly how ADHD shows up, and my job is to help you understand how your brain actually works and use it to your advantage, instead of fighting it.
How ADHD Care is Different Here
Living with ADHD is stressful enough without your care making it harder. A lot of people with ADHD get treated like a problem to manage: hard to get in, hard to get anyone to prescribe, and every month it's a gamble whether the prescription even gets filled. That's not how I run things. I keep visits simple and streamlined, I stay reachable between appointments, and I make sure you're not left scrambling for your medication.
At the same time, I'm not going to just write a script and send you on your way. Because I started in family medicine before psychiatry, I look at the whole picture: your sleep, your physical health, your daily habits, since those affect focus far more than most people realize. Nearly every ADHD patient I see has some kind of sleep issue, and treating that often does as much as the medication.
Who I work with
Adults who were recently diagnosed, or who've known their whole life and want a provider who genuinely gets it
Children (roughly 10 and up) and teens, working alongside their parents
ADHD tangled up with anxiety, where treating the anxiety is often what actually helps
ADHD with a history of stimulant misuse, handled honestly and without judgment
How I help you get there
-
I use structured assessments that separate true ADHD from the anxiety, sleep, and mood issues that can look just like it, so we treat what's really going on rather than guessing.
-
Thoughtful, individualized prescribing, with stimulant and non-stimulant options, and never adding medication just to check a box. Because ADHD medications are controlled substances, follow-ups happen every four weeks; once you're stable, we space them out.
-
ADHD and sleep feed each other. I screen sleep hygiene, insomnia, restless-leg symptoms, and possible sleep apnea, because a mind that won't quiet down at night is often part of the ADHD picture.
-
When it fits, I rule out physical contributors to fatigue and focus problems, like thyroid, vitamin D, B12, and ferritin, before assuming everything is ADHD.
-
Visits include real conversation about your life, not just a med check. If ongoing therapy or ADHD coaching would serve you better, I'll connect you with someone I trust.
Built for busy lives
Most of my ADHD patients see me by telehealth, because taking half a day off for a 20-minute check-in doesn't make sense. Appointments fit into a lunch break or before work. In-person in Meridian is available if you prefer it.
